*Converted to tow wagon L7 in 1964 and based in Dunfermline. See Breakdown And Training Vehicles. There is a photograph on page 48 of 'Wheels Around Dunfermline and West Fife' by Allan Brotchie, of this bus when it was a double decker, partially de-roofed and lodged at an angle under the railway viaduct leading to Burntisland harbour. The photograph shows the W. Alexander & Sons (Fife) 'garter' on the rear of the bus dating the photograph as anywhere from 1961 - 1964. I assume the bus was converted to a tow vehicle as a result of this accident. See photograph HERE.
