BRISTOL LODEKKA
At the 1961 split, Alexander (Fife) received 82 rear door LD6G Lodekkas. These buses were all ordered by Alexander before the split. My sincere thanks go to Fellow Stagecoach Fife employee, Innes Cameron, for this information from his archive.

**7404SP - FRD156 was withdrawn after accident damage and replaced by YWS871, an FLF6G Lodekka in February 1974. It was new in 1962 to Eastern Scottish Omnibuses as their AA871 and was unique in having the Cave-Brown-Cave heating system - a feature Fife's Lodekkas did not have. This Lodekka also took the FRD156 fleet number. Also see HERE and HERE.
The 1963 and 1964 orders reverted back to rear doored buses (FS6G's). Again, they were Alexander (Fife) orders.

1969 saw a bit of a backward step with the purchase of 12 second hand LD6G Lodekkas from Central SMT. These were 14 years old, being new to Central in 1955. All were withdrawn 3 years later (1972) and scrapped at Muirs in Kirkcaldy - the graveyard for much of the Fife fleet.
