ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN

On this page, you will find a selection of photographs of buses 'in trouble'. No photos will be shown where any fatalities have taken place.

2 photographs showing FRA25 after it had hit the low railway bridge at the West end of Woodmill Street, (Jimmy Cowan - Dear Oh dear!). It was re-roofed shortly afterwards and lasted at least until the 'large logo' era. Dated about the early 80's.
The 2 photographs on the left, (these are not thumbnails, unfortunately), show the aftermath of separate strikes against the low bridge in Kirkcaldy, just off Dunnikier Road. I believe both these incidents happened in 2008.
Guy Arab II AMS216 – RO509 sinks in mud enroute to Ballingry in 1958.
Guy Arab III AWG384 - RO598 - lodged under the rail viaduct between Harbour Place and the rail station in Burntisland. Date unknown.
This Citybus slipped on the cobbles coming down the brae from Charleston. The front O/S hit the wall on the right hand side of the fourth photograph. Date was about 2003.
This unknown Fife Ailsa had just scraped it's roof under the rail bridge at Perth railway station. Date unknown.
The 2 photos on the left show the damage to the collapsed front O/S wheel of minibus 33 at Glenrothes bus station. Date about the early 80's.
The result of another low bridge strike at Dunnikier in Kirkcaldy.
